Security Advisor/Cyber Security Assessment
The Florida Rural Water Association (FRWA) is accepting applications to fill a full-time position of Water System Security Advisor/Cyber Security Assessment to provide training and technical assistance to Public Water System related to fulfilling requirements of security assessments (Risk Resilience Assessments (RRA)) and emergency response plans.
This is a professional, exempt position requiring exercise of advanced technical and independent judgment abilities.
- This position will require extensive and overnight travel;
- a minimum of five years experience in water utility process control and/or security/vulnerability assessments.
- Strong computer skills will be necessary.
- College degree or similar in IT certifications (or ability to obtain) is strongly recommended.
- Strong verbal communication and writing abilities for completion of required water system security plans is required.
- Background/Drug test required.

Water Circuit Rider Position
The Florida Rural Water Association is hiring a full-time Water Circuit Rider to provide technical assistance and training to water systems in central/south part of the state. This is a professional, exempt position requiring exercise to improve technical, managerial, and financial capabilities of water and wastewater systems in Florida. The position will require extensive and overnight travel, and a minimum of five years experience in water/wastewater utility management and operations, preferably an advanced certification or degree. Computer skills will be necessary.
This position will provide technical assistance and training to rural and small water systems related to their management policies and general business operations. Basic duties include evaluation of system needs; utility board training; rate studies, setting impact fees, asset management; budgeting; and financial assistance.
